On #internationalwomensday LVC would like to recognise, thank and celebrate all the women who have served and are still serving in the Armed Forces.
Some of our Female Veterans’ visited Liverpool to meet with other women in the Veterans’ Community within Everton in the Community, and to visit the Western Approaches Museum to recognise the contribution of the WRNS, ATS and WAAF during WWII. We couldn’t visit Liverpool without also going on a ferry across the Mersey and to the Cavern. We were quite the celebrities around Liverpool with our hot pink hoodies!
We want to give a big shout out to the women at the Stand By Her Project for making us so welcome and to Short Self Drive – Car, Van and Minibus Hire and Kevin (our trusty driver) for getting us there and back safely!
