Our CEO, Ian Stewart, retired on Friday 29th September after a very successful and transformative four years at LVC. He will be sadly missed by his colleagues, volunteers, the Board of Trustees and all at LVC. The good news is that although Ian has stepped down as CEO, he intends to join the Board of Trustees and volunteer his time here occasionally.
Ian is succeeded as CEO by Pauline Cherrington, the Veterans and Families Case Worker and Welfare Advisor at LVC. Pauline began as an employee at LVC in November 2018. Prior to that she volunteered for LVC for around a year. Pauline served in the Women’s Royal Naval Service from 1987 until 1992 before taking up a variety of roles with the Royal Navy and Army between 1993 and 2012 as a MOD employee. She then went to work for the Nursing and Midwifery Council and the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries overseeing regulatory process and regulatory hearings before coming to LVC.
Pauline is looking forward to taking up post of CEO. She has a wealth of experience in Veterans’ matters and the Board of Trustees and Ian are satisfied that her succession will provide continuity for Lothians Veterans Centre which will ensure that service provision will continue unaffected.
