Following on from the success of last year’s event, we were absolutely delighted to be able to host a second Fiji Day Celebration in conjunction with 2 SCOTS on Saturday for the Fijian Veterans’ and serving communities funded by the VPPP project through the Armed Forces Covenant Fund Trust.
There was a huge attendance from the Fijian Community again with the Fijian High Commissioner and the Commanding Officer of 2 SCOTS being the guests of honour.
The traditional outfits, singing, dancing and food were all amazing as usual. It was a real honour and a privilege to be part of this special day where our veterans and families could come together to celebrate their national day of independence and their culture whilst being so far away from home.
Many thanks to all our partner organisations that turned up to showcase what they do to support the Fijian Veterans’ and serving communities and to Mo Torau, LVC’s Commonwealth Veterans’ and Families’ Champion, for bringing it all together.
