Eddie is a Royal Marines Veteran. He has been having a few issues getting around and was in desperate need of a mobility scooter. He had approached the The Royal Marines Charity for help to purchase one but communications had broken down during the process and nothing was happening for Eddie. We contacted Paul ‘Baz’ Barret, the Transition Support Officer for Scotland, with the Royal Marines Charity and he came down from Arbroath to visit Eddie at LVC and made things happen. Eddie is now the proud owner of a shiny blue Vespa mobility scooter just in time for Christmas. Wee Charlie is itching to get out and about with Eddie.

Here’s what Eddie had to say:
“To sit outside in the fresh air is a benefit we take for granted. To be mobile where you can pick your destination is a luxury. Travel, even at it’s smallest adds to our personal world. My appreciation of the gift of a mobility scooter by Lothians Veterans Centre and the Royal Marines Charity is boundless.”
